Yes, Jack Black is White. This is the name of the band who we saw perform last night at Eastwood City Libis, with my brother Joash on bass guitar. Their music can be described as "U2-esque," as coined by their lead vocalists as they were being interviewed live by Magic 89.9FM. A one-hour segment was devoted to this band who played songs by U2 and The Cure, including their original composition entitled "Thin Line (Between Love and Lust)".
The band members are mostly from La Salle and that is where they started having jamming sessions in the past but lost touch for years. Now, reunited after almost a decade of hiatus, these "responsible rockers" as they would consider themselves, are all set towards realizing their passion for music. On Tuesdays, they play at Gweilos, a bar located at Carlos Palanca in Legaspi Village Makati, and are presently accumulating bookings for corporate events.
Here is the video footage I took of them last night. The video may be raw, but the sound is certainly very good.

funny band name, jack black will be pleased. ;->
the new lay out is also refreshing although i didn't find anything wrong with your first. this seems more "open" though. i have been contemplating on changing the lay out of my blog into something less showy (read: less colorful) but someone told me it may result into some lost details, especially the comments daw.
question: did you shut off ("hide") the comments before changing the lay out? i was told to do that and i just might, then "show" it again once everything's done.
hi eye, thanks again for your comment. jack bliack is my brother's favorite comedian, aside from adam sandler.
yep, i noticed my new layout is much friendlier. no idea though about changes in details. i wouldnt want to lose your comments, theyre too nice! hahaha.
the only reason for changing my layout is the size of my brother's video which did not fit my original template. this was the only one that can accommodate the width of the relatively big video viewer. let me check my settings again, but no i did not hide the comments while changing the layout. scary if there was such a thing! =)
btw, what's your next post about? =)
hey jepay. thanks for that info. at least i'd feel a little reassured if i do change the layout.
btw, my next post would have to be my crossing from laos to thailand. a bit boring, all info and details but i am trying to stay on course, chronologically - for this "project". i wish i can just fast forward to phnom penh and skip thailand altogether, but it wont be faithful to the whole trip. i am summoning enough reserve to write something for tomorrow. ha! ha! and a BIG ha!
thanks for the lay out reply.
