Two years after doing Blood Diamond, Leonardo DiCaprio is back with an action film entitled Body of Lies, which also stars "Gladiator" Russell Crowe. I want to see this movie badly. Gotta get my DiCaprio fix. And if there's one more reason for me to watch this, Ridley Scott directed it.

Enchanted
I enjoyed watching Enchanted! Because Patrick Dempsey is in this movie, I picked this one out of all the "have yet to see movies" at home. But I was not disappointed at all. Loved it!My son watched with me yesterday morning. The songs were fresh but with a touch of Beauty and The Beast to it. He swung his head to the songs especially when Giselle hummed to invite the mice, roaches, and doves which eventually led to singing the Happy Working Song.
Must watch again!
I think it was the combination of animated and real world that made the movie captivating not only to the young but young at heart. Well done once more, Disney!
This is my first time to see Amy Adams as the main character much less sing like a Broadway star. She is good. I've only seen her in Catch Me If You Can in a cameo role opposite Leonardo DiCaprio.
Enchanted stars Amy Adams (Giselle), Patrick Dempsey (Robert), James Marsden (Prince Edward), and Susan Sarandon (Queen Narissa).

He is amazing in his craft. His movies have greatly inspired the human psyche by the challenging and relevant roles he plays.
He was a drifter and artist in Titanic, a con artist in Catch Me If You Can, a young undercover cop in The Departed, and a mercenary turned smuggler in Blood Diamond.
And now this.
Leonardo DiCaprio has made a step further in taking on a different challenge, a call for saving our planet, just as Al Gore has brought us to our senses in battling global warming as seen in An Inconvenient Truth.
More than a producer and narrator of The Eleventh Hour, Leonardo DiCaprio is now an environmental warrior.

Conflict Diamonds

The movie Blood Diamond is a story about conflict diamonds set in Sierra Leone. Leonardo DiCaprio plays a white African mercenary turned smuggler in search of a pink diamond, Djimon Hounsou plays a fisherman who found the pink diamond and will use it to retrieve his family and son who became a child soldier, and Jennifer Connelly plays an idealistic American journalist. All three major characters portray pivotal roles in search of truth and freedom.
I liked the movie very much for the simple fact that it intrigued me on the story of a precious stone that we proudly show off to our friends, that same rock that has claimed thousands of lives in blood and utmost danger. It made me curious enough to know why there are child soldiers in Angola, Liberia, and Sierra Leone in the 1990s.
"Conflict diamonds are diamonds that originate from areas controlled by forces or factions opposed to legitimate and internationally recognized governments. These diamonds are used to fund military action in opposition to those governments."
Just like what it showed at the end of the movie, Sierra Leone is now at peace.
