Latest Glossies

These are the glossies I love reading because they are the real authority when it comes to their respective fields: Vogue for fierce, fabulous fashion; and People for entertainment.

The May issue of People Magazine covered 100 of the most beautiful in the entertainment industry. The list includes (in order of appearance in the magazine): Kate Hudson, Rebecca Romjin, Brooke Shields, Gabrielle Union, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Taylor Swift, Kristen Bell, Zoe Saldana, Elizabeth Banks, Minka Kelly, Vanessa Hudgens, Miley Cyrus, Ashton Kutcher, Mary J. Blige, Whitney Port, Audrina Patridge, Lauren Conrad, Heidi Montag, Norah Jones, Carrie Underwood, Kate Beckinsale, Joy Bryant, Josh Groban, Christina Applegate, Sarah Silverman, Nicole Kidman, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lopez, Johnny Depp, Jessica Simpson, Alicia Keys, Beyonce, George Clooney, Halle Berry, Brad Pitt, Matthew McConaughey, Caroline Kennedy, Pattie Boyd, Lisa Bonet, Vanessa Marcil, Marisol Thomas, Delilah Dicrescenzo, Kim Porter, Paula Patton, Guy Ritchie, Rumer Willis, Sarah Larson, Amanda Beard, Anna Friel, Jason Taylor, The Cast of Gossip Girl, Tina Fey, Vanessa Williams, Mariska Hargitay, Marcia Cross, Isla Fischer, Amy Adams, Christina Hendricks, Julianne Moore, Lauren Ambrose, David Beckham, Jennifer Garner, Queen Latifah, Rihanna, Salma Hayek, Patrick Dempsey, Ashlee Simpson & Pete Wentz, Eva Longoria Parker & Tony Parker, Jessica Alba & Cash Warren, Rachael Ray, Ingrid Hoffman, Sandra Lee, Angie Harmon, Carrie Ann Inaba, Raquel Welch, and Iman.

Meanwhile in the June issue of Vogue, a number of spreads were featured as a publicity tool for the upcoming Sex and The City The Movie. Photographed by the famous Annie Leibovitz, Carrie and Big sashay down the historic places in New York and pose for the most exciting chick flick of the decade!

p.s. In preparation for SATC The Movie, I had to watch how it ended in the television series. Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha are back! The movie is showing in two days!

Inexpensive Thrills

I was asked about the cheaper forms of entertainment nowadays. My comment appeared in Inquirer last Saturday.

More than the Magic Sing though, I treat myself by watching a big movie that is showing, and by big I mean good stars, good director, good story, and of course the appeal it draws from the masses measured by their excitement to see the movie on its first day.

My other secondary suggestions would have been what the others have already answered: surfing the net, catching cool videos on YouTube, staying at home and experimenting in the kitchen, and relaxing to the songs in my music player.

However, nothing beats being entertained by the toddler in the house. And that's always, sky's the limit.
